Setting up an organization announcement

Show all members of your organization an important announcement when they open VAULO – optionally with an expiry date or as a non-dismissible notice.

An announcement lets you inform every member of your organization about important news. It appears automatically as a dialog as soon as someone opens VAULO.

Creating an announcement

Go to your organization's settings and open the "Announcement" tab.

Enable the "Show announcement in this organization" toggle.

Choose the severity: "Info", "Warning", or "Danger".

Enter the announcement's content in the text field.

Optional: enable "Allow users to dismiss the announcement" so members can permanently close it.

Optional: set an "Expiration date" for how long the announcement should be shown.

Click "Preview" to see the announcement the way your members will, then click "Save".

Non-dismissible announcements

If you also enable "Prevent closing", members can no longer dismiss the announcement — the only way out of the dialog is to log out.

Admins with permission to edit the organization profile are exempt from this block, so the setting can always be reverted.

How members see the announcement

Every member sees the announcement once per session, as a dialog, when they open VAULO. If the announcement was marked as dismissible, they can hide it for the next five days via "Don't show again". Without that setting, only the "Close" button is available.
