Design the Cover

The three-part dialog flow for designing the Cover block: pick a design, set the image, and adjust the crop.

Design the Cover refers to the connected flow of three dialogs used to set up the Cover block. All three open individually from the block's context menu and build on each other: design first, then image, then crop.

  • Select Design (dialog title: Select Hero Design) – shows a gallery of five layout variants: Image Only, Image with Text, Editorial, Image & Text, and Text Only. If the chosen variant includes text fields, a Visibility section additionally lets you toggle Title, Subtitle, Date, and Caption individually for Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile. Clicking Done closes the dialog.
  • Set Image (dialog title: Set Image) – offers two ways to get a cover image: Select Image opens a folder-grouped file list of the share, from which you pick an existing image; Upload Image opens your device's file picker directly and uploads a new image.
  • Adjust Crop (dialog title: Adjust Crop) – an image editor with a single focal point (dragged on the image) and zoom slider that apply equally to all output sizes, plus separate Height sliders for Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile so the cover can render at a different height per device. The Cancel and Save buttons close the dialog.

Switching the design automatically resets a previously fixed image aspect ratio back to Auto, since the new variant's image area would otherwise crop awkwardly.

Save Template

The dialog for saving the current canvas content and settings as a new or updated presentation template.

Select File for Block

The dialog for choosing the single file shown by a presentation's File Card block.
