Attach file

The dialog for choosing whether to upload a new file or link an existing one.

The Datei anhängen (Attach file) dialog opens via the Datei anhängen button, e.g. when attaching a file to a comment. It offers two choice tiles:

  • Neue Datei hochladen (Upload new file, with the hint Eine Datei vom Gerät anhängen / Attach a file from the device) – opens the operating system's file picker
  • Bestehende Datei verknüpfen (Link existing file, with the hint Eine Datei aus Vaulo auswählen / Select a file from Vaulo) – opens the Datei verknüpfen dialog

This dialog does not perform any action itself — it closes immediately after a tile is selected and forwards you to either the file picker or the Datei verknüpfen dialog.

File Already Exists

The dialog that appears during upload once an uploaded file has a name or content conflict with an existing file, asking for a decision per conflict.
