Create Event

The multi-step dialog for creating a new event, including an optional session import.

The Create Event dialog (titled Create New Event) opens via the create button in Planned Events and guides you through creation in three steps:

  1. Name – a descriptive name, e.g. Summer Festival 2026
  2. Date range – the event's start and end date
  3. Import sessions (optional) – upload a CSV or ICS file to automatically create sessions from it; this step can be skipped

If sessions are found during import, a progress indicator shows Importing {current} of {total} sessions...; the success message then reports how many sessions were imported and any failures. After successful creation, VAULO navigates directly to the new event's Event Detail View.

The codebase also contains a lighter-weight Edit Event dialog (name and dates only) that isn't currently invoked from anywhere in the UI — an event's edit button instead navigates directly to the Settings tab of the Event Detail View.

Event Location

The dialog for creating and editing a location within an event, including an optional color and hierarchy.
