Share Active Folder

The dialog that automatically creates a share and shows you the link when you trigger a shortcut of type "Create share for the current folder".

VAULO lets you create your own keyboard shortcuts for recurring actions – for example, to create a share for the currently open folder with a single keypress. You set up this shortcut type via the Erweiterten Shortcut erstellen dialog.

When such a shortcut is pressed (while a folder is open, not in the file viewer), this dialog opens. It has no visible heading – only a screen-reader-only label Share Active Folder – and shows, depending on progress:

  • While the share is being created: a loading indicator
  • On success: a success animation, the message Präsentation erfolgreich erstellt ("Presentation created successfully"), the generated link in a read-only field with a copy icon, and the Präsentation anpassen ("Adjust presentation") and Fertig ("Done") buttons
  • On error (e.g. if the template referenced by the shortcut no longer exists): an error animation with an error message

The link is automatically copied to your clipboard as soon as the share is created – you don't need to click the copy icon yourself. Unlike the Freigabe erstellen dialog, there is nothing left to configure here: all options (share link type, presentation template if applicable) were already set when you created the shortcut.
