Create a ticket

How to create a new Solution Desk request with type, priority, description, reproduction steps, and attachments.

Use New request in Solution Desk to create a new support request. The form opens as a side panel and includes all the information your team or VAULO needs to process the issue.

Create a new request

Open the Your requests dashboard and click New request in the top-right corner.

Choose the appropriate Issue type, such as Bug, or another type available in your organization.

Enter a short, clear Title that describes the issue directly.

Set the Priority if needed. It will later appear as a color-coded badge on the ticket card.

Review the auto-filled Reported by and Company fields. These values are taken from your signed-in user and current organization.

Describe the issue in the Description field. The toolbar lets you format text in bold, italic, underline, or code style, and also add headings, quotes, and lists.

Add the individual Steps to reproduce if the issue can be reproduced reliably.

Use Attach files to add screenshots, PDFs, or sample material.

Click Create request to create the ticket.

What happens next

After saving, the request appears immediately in the matching tab and status column.

  • In most setups, a new ticket starts in Your team.
  • The card shows the title, ticket ID, and priority.
  • The detail view also includes the description, reproduction steps, activity feed, and reply area.

If you want to add replies or continue the process afterward, continue with Edit a ticket.

Tips for better requests

  • Use specific terms in the title, such as the affected area, the action, and the error.
  • Use the Description field to explain the issue or the observed effect, and describe the How can the issue be reproduced? field step by step so clearly that someone else can understand and reproduce the problem.
  • It is usually better to attach one screenshot too many than one too few.

If you want to know who is allowed to process or escalate a ticket later, also see Roles and members.
